Meteor Shower
The first time Isaac and Deborah got to know each other happened to be during a multi-day meteor shower. They stayed out until 4am watching shooting stars fall.
Kitayama
The first time Deborah and Isaac hung out 1:1 was when the third friend, Ryon, was running late. They settled on a bench with a box of Poppin Cookin, made really gross candy, and made each other laugh.
Waller Avenue
Isaac and Deborah spent their first summer together creating chalk drawings on the sidewalk, dancing under street lamps, longboarding, and taking walks barefoot long into the night.
"The Stupid Dirt Hill"
Deborah and Isaac both knew they needed to have "the talk". He suggested going to the Ohlone parking structure that they frequented to talk and walk around. She was scared of the small chance that the conversation would go wrong, he wouldn't be able to come back to Ohlone without a bad memory. He ended up taking her to a neighborhood where they sat on a literal mound of dirt and talked about how they felt (he thought there would be grass and flowers). Deborah refused to admit anything first and weaseled a confession out of Isaac.
Teasociety San Jose
Isaac and Deborah met here for the first time! Deborah was introducing a friend to the rest of the Resonate Church college group when she realized she had no idea who Isaac was (he had been gone on a road trip through Route 66 and Deborah had started coming out). It was only when they went to boba afterwards that Deborah introduced herself to him on the planters outside of Tea Society.
Suju's Coffee & Tea
Unfortunately, Deborah and Isaac were deep into finals season when they became official. They met up the next day... and the day after that... and the day after that at Sujus to study together. Big moves were made here (Isaac put his arm around Deb for the first time!)
Golfland USA
Although they technically had study dates at Sujus, they both agreed it should absolutely not count as a first date and decided to go back to where they first met. Although it was technically the boba shop, they spent their first date as a couple playing minigolf.
