A *dog* tail as old as time.... on June 2nd 2019. John had just moved back to Dallas a few months before and wanted to grab a beer on a casual Sunday afternoon. He went to a popular Tap room called "GRRROWLER'S", that is connected the "The Shacks Dog Park". Dayna had just returned from a girls trip that Sunday morning and wanted to take her pup out for some fun at the local dog park, and to grab herself a beer in the early June heat. And that is when John saw her, and it was love at 1st sight.... the 25lbs black and white corgi that stood 12in tall, Lilly. John HAD to pet that dog, and asked the owner if he can pet her. The owner (Dayna), which John wasn't really looking at, agreed. Dayna honestly thought this random guy, who had no dog at the park, was actually coming up to talk to HER. Nope, not even close. He JUST wanted to pet her dog. Once Dayna realized that was not the case, she reached down to shake John's hand to introduce herself. They then started talking for a long time on the park deck, which evolved to 2 rounds of beers and a large plate of Chicken Nachos, the most romantic 1st date food. Since then, Dayna and John have been together, and come The Wedding day, they will have been together for over 5 1/2 years. Dayna and John are not only each other’s chosen partners, but also best friends. They have traveled the world together, supported each other both in their careers and personal life, and evolved into who they now are today. They are so excited to spend this special day with their loved ones, near and far, as they start the next chapter of their beautiful life as Husband and Wife.
It was 12/21/2023, and Dayna and John were having their annual Christmas Date together and it was John's year to pick the date activity (or so Dayna thought). It was pouring rain, and he insisted to take Lilly to the local park by the lake. After much confusion from Dayna, she went along with it. They went to their normal picnic spot where John takes out homemade treats, where they enjoyed talking about the last year. At the end of their picnic, they were getting up, and John took her by the hand, and got down on one knee and officially popped the question (to both Dayna and Lilly)! John even hired a photographer who was pretending to be a bird watcher that was able to capture the whole moment!
