Question

What should we expect?

Answer

You should expect nothing formal or traditional at our wedding and celebration! After a small Catholic wedding ceremony, the celebrating will begin when you show up. No formal speeches, no awkward photos, no first dances, and no dress code. We just want all of the people we love, including the kids, to come and enjoy the mountain air, relax, and have fun with us!

Question

How's the weather?

Answer

It's Colorado.. We could have rain, snow, thundersnow, 90 degrees and sunny all by noon. Be prepared for everything and check the weather as we get closer- Don't forget about the altitude. We will be celebrating at an elevation of 7500-8500 feet above sea level, the air is thinner here. Drink lots of water, take rest and wear sunscreen.. even when it snows-

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Heck yes! We want all of the human kids to come, but you'll have to leave your 4-legged kids at home. They are not allowed at the reception house.

Question

Should we come hungry?

Answer

Oktoberfest style food, pretzels, and beverages(yes, beer!) will be served. German "small bites" will be served from 12-2pm. The Stube Restaurant in Palmer Lake is catering small bites of sausage, pork schnitzel, pickles, mustard, cheese fondue, and salad.

Question

What about transportation and parking?

Answer

The parking at the church is pretty limited, so be prepared to park down the road and walk in a bit. The reception house has plenty of parking and is about 15 miles west of the church. We don't have any transportation set up, but if you need help finding a carpool, please let us know.
