Our Happily Ever After

Debbie and Kevin’s love story began in 2020, during the early days of COVID, when Debbie’s niece, Alex, introduced them. Their first date was a simple one at Chick-fil-A in Upland, where they sat in the parking lot, reminiscing about life before the world changed and sharing their dreams, goals, and hopes for the future. Although that moment sparked something special, their relationship unfolded gently. They spent time together as friends here and there, allowing their connection to grow naturally. It wasn’t until August, at Alex’s 21st birthday party, that everything truly fell into place. Both Debbie and Kevin were a little nervous to reconnect, but once they started talking, it felt as though no time had passed at all. They spent hours laughing, talking, and enjoying each other’s company, and the rest of the night was filled with fun and unforgettable moments. The very next day, Kevin asked Debbie out, and that’s when they shared what they lovingly call their “second first date.” With so many places closed during COVID, they found joy in the simple things like Disney movie nights, a shared love that quickly became a favorite tradition. Just one month later, they made it official. A couple of years after that, they took another big step together by moving into their first apartment and welcoming their first furry family member, a mini Australian shepherd named Jewelz. Over the next four years, Debbie and Kevin grew side by side sharing adventures, creating beautiful memories, and laughing endlessly. When Kevin realized he couldn’t imagine life without Debbie, he knew it was time to ask her a very important question. On May 31st, Kevin planned a day full of love leading up to the big moment. They began with a creative date at Color Me Mine, painting ceramic houses for their mantle. From there, they headed to Yard House, one of their favorite spots, for dinner. Afterward, Kevin drove Debbie to Carbon Canyon Regional Park, where they took a hike to a beautifully planned proposal. After what felt like a long walk filled with anticipation, they finally arrived. Surrounded by nature, happy tears, and laughter, Kevin asked Debbie to spend forever with him and without hesitation, she said YES! Now, Debbie and Kevin are overjoyed to begin this next chapter together. They are so excited to celebrate their love and can’t wait to share their happily ever after with everyone they love!
