We first met at Essex through a mutual friend of ours. After first seeing Debbie, Elton proceeded to reaching out to our mutual friend to learn more about Debbie. After thorough investigation and information gathering lol, while walking down the stairwell of Essex in 2011, Elton finally approached Debbie to say hello. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history.

On a hot summer day Elton decided to take Debbie to Friendly's Restaurant. If Debbie knew what he had to go through to pull this date off, she probably would have said no lol. Elton told his dad he needed to run to school to get a few things done but instead, took Debbie out on a date (well worth it). Friendly's was where Elton worked during his time at Essex.

Elton surprised Debbie for their anniversary by taking her to their favorite restaurant in DC called Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House. When they finished eating, Elton and the waiter decided to show Debbie the Winery Room on the top floor. As both of their eyes were caught on the ambiance of the room, Elton got down on one knee and popped the magical question. What was supposed to be a typical day trip to DC, turned into my soulmate saying "Yes!".
