I clearly remember two things about when Wendy came along. 1. Going to Mr Bigs department store with our Grandma White to purchase a "layette" and 2. Standing on the big rubber tires of the carriage so I could see the baby. Now I had one of each, a brother and a sister. We spent many years raising our own babies, and now as adults have found the time to reconnect as adult sisters!

Nicky, the sister that reminds me the most of Grandma White and also reminds me of myself when my boys were younger. Always working hard to give them the best she can, making personal sacrifices of time, energy, sleep and the list goes on. She is someone I would choose as a friend IF she wasn't already my sister.

With second marriages come ready-made family and with this marriage I am gaining a daughter, something I never had. Being the youngest of our 5 kids she hangs out with us more than the others, showing us what it's like to be a teenager in 2017. Looking forward to watching to see where her smart, independent nature will take her in life, hoping we can add an additional support system to her along the way.
