Things To Do

Willard Hotel - historic Washington DC locale

We can't wait to get married at this historic venue that has been a DC staple for over 200 years. The Willard has played host to such illustrious historical figures as Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr., and so many more. Please check out its fascinating history and be sure to visit the mini-museum near the F Street entrance at the back of the hotel.

Markets

There are tons of wonderful markets in DC! The DUPONT FARMERS MARKET (outdoor) is open on Sunday mornings and offers mostly food items...it is a great place to get coffee and breakfast, or grab delicious treats for later! This market isn't just produce, think breads, pasta, juices, soups, dumplings, empanadas, crabcakes, and more! You could also try EASTERN MARKET (indoor/outdoor) over near Capitol Hill on Saturday or Sunday. You'll find food, art, antiques, jewelry, and other handmade crafts. UNION MARKET (indoor) is Tues - Sun and has amazing food stalls with everything you can imagine...including seafood, mediterranean, BBQ, bakeries, ice cream, beer/wine, etc. There are tables outside where you can eat in the sun on a nice day!
