can we get a witness?

Kortney and Adam met way back in middle school when they both shot Junior League Trap. Adam attempted countless times to persuade Kortney to go on a date, but was always met with, "My dad won't let me go out with anyone until I can drive." By the time they turned 16 and could drive, Kortney had parted ways from shooting trap to play sports year-round. Fast forward many years after Kortney returned from college, she was finally able to agree to go out with Adam...and the rest is history!

Kortney and Adam decided to enjoy the nice fall weather that evening and play with the dogs outside for a bit. It was almost time to start making dinner, so Kortney said she was going to head inside. Adam suggested they have "just one more." Kortney obliged and said, "Only cuz I love ya!" A little while later, Adam had crouched down between Maggie and Rem...Kortney's obsession with taking photos of the pups kicked in and she told Adam to smile. While admiring her photography skills, Kortney told Adam, "Our puppies are so cute...I guess you are too!" Before Kortney realized what was going on, Adam had whipped out the ring of her dreams (like a damn ninja!) and popped the question! Many calls to family and friends later, along with reheating dinner multiple times, and a lot more "just one more" beers, the two finally sat down to eat dinner. It was here that Adam thought out loud, "Ya know what, I don't know if you ever actually said yes." Since things were all an exciting blur to her, it was here where Kortney officially said yes! *Adam's original plans to propose involved their beloved Jemma (aka River Rat), Maggie, and their land up north. Jemma sadly passed away the night before the family was planned to head up north for that 'magical moment.' Even though Jem was watching from Doggy-Heaven, her spirit was alive and well that night!*
