The ceremony and reception will be hosted at Black Canyon Inn. There will be a shuttle service provided to the welcome party event. The property hosts a mix of 26 condos (1bd,2bd, and 3bd) and 14 hotel suites. The condo units are individually owned, VRBO style, and are booked on a first come first serve basis. We have noticed the hotel suites coming in and out of availability as room blocks expire every 60 days. Please check back at a later date for any openings. For our film and history buffs, The Stanley Hotel is another centrally located option in Estes Park. Fun Fact: The Stanley Hotel is the real-life inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s The Shining and served as a key filming location for the 1994 comedy classic Dumb and Dumber.
Hotel
The Holiday Inn is centrally located in Estes Park and a 5 minute drive to the wedding festivities. We have heard great things about this property from other couples hosting weddings in Estes Park!
Flight
For our out of town guests, you will want to fly into the Denver International Airport. Estes Park is about 90 minutes northwest of the airport. Guests are encouraged to yell "Roll Tide" as they pass through Boulder to remind the CU students of the Rose Bowl they’ll never win.
Travel Note
When booking your rental car, we would advise selecting a vehicle with AWD or FWD with snow chains. The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable with snow storms. If snow is present, please lower your speed, leave larger gaps and make slow and smooth inputs. Most of the drive from the airport is flat through Lyons. There is only a small segment of "mountain driving" between Lyons and Estes Park that lasts approximately 25minutes. It is an easy drive and Kelli approved (she is still mentally recovering from the move over a year ago when she drove from Southern California to Denver). Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft are not reliable in Estes Park. Rides can be booked with Estes Park Shuttle. They offer one way or round trip rides to and from the airport. It is recommended to book at least one week in advance. https://estesparkshuttle.com/ Explore Estes is a great resource for rides around town or to Rocky Mountain National Park if you prefer to not rent a car. We advise contacting them in advance of any planned activates as they do not guarantee the same last minute flexibility as Uber or Lyft. https://exploreestes.com/estes-park-ride-service/
