Question

What’s the Dress Code?

Answer

This is an outdoor wedding—think sun and humidity on grass. It will be a short ceremony, but sunscreen is always a good idea. The evening reception is in an open-air covered pavilion with cement floor. Aloha Attire is appropriate. For men, that means an Aloha shirt (button front) and dress shorts. For ladies, a summer dress or your favorite blouse and dress shorts or capris. Rubbah slippahs and sandals are completely appropriate—we want you to be comfortable and able to dance! If you show up in surf shorts and a tee-shirt, no one will say a word. Enjoy yourself!! 💕

Question

Will there be dancing? Wait...have you met us?

Answer

Hey wedding partiers, Expect a lot of dancing! We’ve got a great DJ, and all Kauai parties are known for their line dancing. If you know the Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide, you’re set. If your partner doesn’t like to dance (or is too drunk to dance), you can still get out on the dance floor—frankly, ANYTIME you want to dance, you should. Sometimes we dance in the ice cream aisle of Safeway, because...well, ice cream! Here’s my favorite line dance, The Wobble! Video links below in case you want to come prepared. Don’t forget to stretch and drink plenty of water! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=diGiFlZwhT8 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xfm92t
