We’re getting Married!

Deja and Duke met years before they ever started dating at a military drill, but they barely spoke and eventually went their separate ways. Years later, they met again during annual military training at their unit, and this time, things were completely different. Deaundra walked up to Deja and started a conversation, and although she gave him a slightly confused but polite “hey,” that simple moment turned into a connection neither of them expected. Deja was the unit supply specialist, handling clothing, weapons, food, and more, while Deaundra worked with heavy equipment. During those two weeks of training, they stayed up late every night talking about life, childhood memories, and their dreams. They even realized they went to the same middle school, which made them feel like their story was meant to be. One night, while sitting outside together, something ran across the ground maybe a raccoon or something and Deja jumped straight into Duke’s arms. He carried her back to her tent, and in that moment, we both knew this was love at first sight. Since then, they’ve been inseparable truly like peas in a pod. A year and a half later, Duke planned a surprise proposal that Deja never saw coming, and of course, she said yes. Now they’re getting ready to spend forever together.
