NEW WEDDING UPDATES AND CHANGES DUE TO COVID/STATE PROTOCOLS. ALL CURRENT COVID PROTOCOLS AND STATE MANDATES WILL BE ENFORCED.
Question

Why did the venue change?

Answer

Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, large events were not allowed to be held on public property. We had a friend and their family selflessly offer their private home and property so that we could finally have our big day. We will now be able to have our event at a smaller guest count, and following all COVID 19 safety protocols. Since this is someone's private home, we ask that all guests are respectful and mindful of their home, their property, and of their neighbors. This ranch house is beautiful and full of fruit trees that are off limits to all guests. We want to leave this property as beautiful as when we arrived, and take care of their family home.

Question

What are the COVID 19 safety protocols that will be in place?

Answer

In consideration for the health and safety of all of our guests, we do ask that you make note of the following guidelines at our ceremony and reception: - Please bring face masks, which are recommended to be worn if you are not vaccinated. Masks will be required on the provided shuttle. We will have extras on hand for anyone who needs one. - Temperature checks will occur upon entry. -Sanitization stations will be readily available at different locations throughout the venue. We are very fortunate that the entire event will be outdoors. As we get closer to June, we will update protocols per state guidelines. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Question

Do I need to get a COVID 19 test before attending?

Answer

We ask that ALL adult guests get tested at least one week before the wedding and in time to get your results by Friday, June 18th to ensure we are as safe as possible on the big day. California just announced outdoor receptions can happen if all guests are tested OR are fully vaccinated. There are many free testing locations available in a city near you. As much as we want everyone to be able to celebrate in person, we ask if you receive a positive test result, are feeling ill, or have been exposed to COVID-19 within two weeks of the wedding to please stay home and toast from afar.

Question

I am fully vaccinated, do I need to get tested or wear a mask?

Answer

Short answer, yes please. We hope that the majority of guests that are able to be vaccinated, will be fully vaccinated by the time of the event since state guidelines require guests at a 100+ event be either vaccinated or tested. However, to ensure safety for all guests, and to be fair and respectful to all, we do ask that every person attending the wedding gets a COVID test at least the week before the wedding and receives their negative results before attending the wedding. We will be following all current state mask mandates. Masks will be required for all guests when on the shuttle. We are very fortunate to have a venue that is completely outdoors for the ceremony and reception. We support anyone who feels more comfortable wearing their mask throughout the wedding, except for when eating and drinking. Please do what makes you the most comfortable.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

There is no guest parking at our new wedding venue. It is located on a two lane road with limited space. For the safety of yourself and your vehicle, we will be providing a shuttle for all guests to the venue. Ubers and Lyfts or a personal driver are able to drop off at venue driveway. If in need of special arrangements, please contact Deanna after RSVPing.

Question

Where do we park? Where is the shuttle pick up?

Answer

Shuttle pick up/drop off and parking will be at the Somis Community Church. The Church is located at 3300 West St. Somis, CA 93066. It is 2.8 miles from the venue. Shuttle pick up will begin at 3:45pm, please make arrangements to arrive in time for the shuttle. The shuttle will begin picking up guests when needed close to the ending of the wedding. Special arrangements can be made for guests who need to leave earlier. *MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED ON THE SHUTTLE*

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to venue size and ongoing COVID 19 pandemic safety regulations, please understand that we had to carefully select those who are invited. We love everyone, but this will be a smaller wedding than initially planned. Our wedding will now be adults-only; we have limited children to those in our wedding party. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have set up a Honeymoon fund for our trip to Cancun under the Registry tab! Also, we are registered at Target and Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We will be staying at the Residence Inn Camarillo for the weekend. Unfortunately they would not allow us to block rooms. Camarillo is 10 miles from the venue. Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley are also close by. Simi Valley is 18 miles from the venue. There are many other hotels and Air Bnb options in these locations. Please see our Travel page to see our suggestions for local hotels.

Question

Where do we RSVP?

Answer

When you receive your formal invitations, a RSVP card will be included with a link to our online RSVP website. Due to venue size and ongoing COVID 19 pandemic safety regulations, we ask that no additional guests accompany the invitee.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal/ dressy casual. We want everyone to feel beautiful and confident but not over heat! As it will be a warm summer day, and possible cooler night, please dress accordingly. There is gravel, dirt, and grass at the venue so please make sure your shoes can ensure for safe walking and a night full of dancing. (a.k.a stilettos may not be the best choice for the night.)

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be starting promptly at 4:30 pm. Please allow enough time to park at the church and load on the shuttle at 3:45 pm. Also take the time into consideration if using Uber, Lyft, or if you are being dropped off.
