Today was special, because I proposed to Deanna. I was only to find out about this later in the day though. I didn’t wake up knowing I was going to do it. But the day proved for it to be the right time. As usual we woke up early and the plan was to go to tunnels beach. A beach that Deanna had found earlier during her research on Kauai. Little did we know that this beach was going to be spectacular. It was called tunnels due to the lava tubes that were still present underwater from its volcanic presence. The water was crystal-clear and light blue, with the sun on the water, it was a majestic opportunity for snorkeling. And, so we did. The snorkels weren’t the best as water would come through the breathing pipe all the time but the fish were amazing. So much color and radiancy I hadn’t seen before. Deanna and I went for a long walk on the beach and got caught up in conversations and while looking up to the mountain view we were in state of gratitude and truly thankful for being there together. It was also the moment that I realized this could be the day that I propose to her, it just felt right. On our way back to the car Kate mentioned to the group that we should do a photo session at the beach that evening to watch the sunset, it was a gift from heaven for me that I only had to unwrap. Much encouraged with that idea we went shopping in our nearby little shopping area. This is where I bought a dark navy Hawaii shirt. A true print from the island as they told me. Dressed in my light linen khaki’s and Hawaiian shirt I was now truly ready for the evening. I bought some postcards and chose one of them to write down some of my feelings on a card to give to Deanna for after the proposal...
