Southwick's Zoo
A sprawling 300-acre zoo that houses over 850 animals from around the world. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences, such as feeding animals and camel rides, as well as the scenic Skyfari chairlift that provides aerial views of the zoo. The zoo is open seasonally, so check their website for hours and ticket prices.
Providence
Visit Providence, RI. About a 30 minute drive from Mendon. Walk around downtown Providence, visit Roger Williams Park Zoo, have a picnic at India Point Park, grab something to eat on Federal Hill.
Newport
One of me and Asfand's favorite places to visit in the summer. About an hour drive from Mendon. Walk along the Newport Cliff Walk with amazing views of the ocean and mansions, walk through downtown Newport with many charming shops, art galleries and restaurants (Thames Street), explore Bowen's Wharf, grab a drink at Newport Vineyards, grab lunch at Castle Hill Inn, take a scenic drive down Ocean Drive, spend the day on Easton Beach
