DeAndre and Felicia met online! YES, online dating REALLY works!! It all started back in the fall of 2019. After matching online, going on multiple dates as DeAndre would travel in and out of state for work they mutually decided the distance would probably be an issue without giving it a try- DeAndre lived in Conyers GA and Felicia lived in Tampa FL. Fast forward to December 2021, Felicia reached out to DeAndre with an open mind of dating long distance. The connection they made never left the mind of either and they decided it was worth a try. Felicias' best friend told her many times, "Reach out to him, text him back, that may be your husband". And guess what, they've been inseparable ever since!! They dated long distance, visiting one another every other week until DeAndre finished his first electrical program in Georgia and accepted a job in Florida. October 2022 he moved to Florida and they lived together in Felicias tiny apartment until her lease was up October 2023. After discussions about the steady rise in rent prices, they decided it was time to save and purchase a home, Something they could call their own! DeAndres mother and stepfather made room for them in their home, where they resided for seven months, saving, sacrificing and taking the steps towards home ownership. They purchased their first home together in Florida, May 2024. Four quick months later on September 14, 2024 during their Housewarming Party, DeAndre took their family, friends and especially Felicia by surprise. He dropped down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. And here we are preparing for their wedding day to unite and continue this heartwarming Tampa Bay Love Story!
