Kamwala Market is one of the biggest markets in Zambia. People come from all over Zambia and outside Zambia to come and buy from this market which has mostly wholesale shops. You haven't been to Lusaka if you dont visit Kamwala market, its filled with Zambian food stuffs, Chitenge material (cloth to make african attire), braids, etc. It is a very lively environment. Recommend going with a local resident as it can get overwhelming for someone new to the area.
MukaMunya was developed as a gated community estate in a park setting on the Leopards Hill Rd with 64 1 hectare plots in a gorgeous lush nature setting. Its across the street from the wedding venue.
If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can also go to Livingstone which has the Mighty Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (in Lozi language), "Thundering Smoke", Shungu Namutitima (in Tonga language) or "Boiling Water". It is on the Zambezi River, located on the boarder between Zambia & Zimbabwe. It is one of the world's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m (5,604 ft), and is one of the 7 wonders of the World. You can visit the Devils pool (where you can stand on top of the Falls) or the Angels pool (a less daring stand on the Falls). There is so much to do in Livingstone including safaris, quad biking, nature walks, spas, lion walks, crossing the boarder into Botswana or Zimbabwe. Livingstone is a hub of activities, and you will be thoroughly entertained. From Lusaka (where the wedding will be) to Livingstone, it is a 7-hour car drive/bus ride or 45 min flight on our local airline Proflight. Recommend staying at the Avani Hotel which is right at the Falls.
