In late September, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida typically has high temperatures around 87°F and low temperatures around 72°F. The average temperature is usually around 80°F. The area is likely to experience rain as part of the state's rainy season, which peaks from July to early September.
We recommend staying somewhere along Highway 30a because it is lined with beach towns and seems to have easy access to restaurants and shopping. We think the most affordable and fun area is between Seaside and Seagrove. There are lots of vacation rentals and the Lodge is a great hotel in the area. If you are looking for something more upscale, check out Rosemary Beach or Alys Beach!
If you are staying somewhere along Highway 30a it is very easy to get around on a golf cart. There is also a large bike path that runs along the road, making it safe to walk or bike without worrying about cars. If you plan on going outside of the 30a area, it would be best to rent a car or call a taxi/Uber. Keep in mind we can’t leave any cars or golf carts at the wedding venue overnight or they will be towed or ticketed!
There are lots of rental companies in the area. 30aCartRentals.com seems to be the most affordable option! 30aGulfCarts.com is another option, and if you mention you are going to the Comeaux-Sanderson wedding they will give you a 10% discount.
Yes! The beach is beautiful and you must go. We went last September and the weather was perfect, the water in the gulf was also very warm!
