Kennedy and Dean’s story began in 2019, thanks to a very special introduction by their mothers. What started as a simple connection quickly turned into something undeniable, and on May 15, 2019, they went on their first date at Jack Brown’s in Norfolk, Virginia. From that very first night, it was clear that this was the beginning of something special. When they first started dating, Kennedy was still finishing her undergraduate studies. Over the years that followed, their relationship grew alongside many of life’s milestones. They built a home together, adopted two beloved dogs—Buffy and Ellie—and learned what it truly meant to be partners in every sense of the word. Through each season of life, their bond deepened, grounded in friendship, love, and lots of laughter. On July 5th, Dean suggested an early morning beach walk with the dogs—something that felt perfectly ordinary, and perfectly them. As the sun rose over First Landing State Park and the beach sat quiet and empty, Dean got down on one knee and asked Kennedy to spend forever with him. With Buffy and Ellie by their side, she said yes. Today, Kennedy and Dean are continuing to build a life they love—one filled with early nights, dog snuggles, and simple joys. In the warmer months, you’ll find them tending to their vegetable garden or heading out to fish, and each winter they keep the tradition of an annual ski & snowboard trip. They are so excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who have supported and loved them along the way.
