Dean and Briana were working an overnight shift in their respective roles when they met. It was an unusual setting in the ambulance bay at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Briana, a police officer at the time, working overtime and completely exhausted with men and Dean, a paramedic working his regular shift while actively looking to date and have a good time. The two engaged in deep debate over Cropover vs Carnival with hospital personnel and other members of Dean's "STATION 39" crew. As the exchange of views progressed Dean became more intrigued by Briana. Later that night, he informed her and everyone there that night " She is mines... Stay away from her " and everyone obliged. The conversation became more robust and continued even in between Dean's call to service. Dean would leave the hospital to pick up a patient and come right back. That sequence continued for two hours before Dean swooped in, took Briana's cellphone, entered his number and called himself to ensure that he had the right number. This is where their story begins.

On the night of their Meetaversary, the two planned to meet for dinner the following Friday for their first date. However, in true Dean and Briana fashion the unofficial first date occurred days after the Meetaversary on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Dark Horse Tavern in Rockville Center,NY. Dean knew the way to Briana's heart because while at the tavern he performed the most insatiable back and neck massage that left Briana salivating for the real deal. That Friday, Briana was running late due to work, but Dean patiently waited maybe for about an our before the two had dinner at Seasons 52 in Garden City, NY. Let's just say that neither the two of them wanted the night to end, so they ventured to Secrets in Brooklyn,NY and danced the rest of night away. It was then, that the two shared their first kiss in the morning twilight and stamped the commencement of an unconventional and perfectly imperfect relationship.

When a couple finds value in their imperfection it is a great thing! Some of the couple's mishaps over the years are valued for the character that it has added to the relationship over the years. Throughout the past seven years, Dean and Briana have ALWAYS have moved to the beat of their own drums. By the end of Meetaversary year, they moved in with one another. It should be no surprised that by the end of the following year, they became pregnant with their third child. In 2018, they couple reconstituted their blended family with the birth of their daughter Madison. By 2020, they purchased their first home for their expanding, now a family of five for their children, Brendan (11) and Danielle (10) and their new addition Madison (2). We will just say, the details in between is a story for a different time.

The truth is Dean and Briana's relationship is quite unique, they value being unintentionally PERFECTLY IMPERFECT . What started off as a very unconventional, almost hostile take over Meetaversary, blossomed into the very thing that gives their relationship so much character. So on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at the Mercari Vineyards in Mattituck, NY, Dean proposed to Briana and she gladly said YES without reservation! After all, from the very beginning Dean expressed his intentions that she was all his and on his own time he proved to be a man of his word.
