We met through a good friend Maria Lobifaro. Her husband worked with Chris. He started to message me and after a few weeks he asked me on a date. We went to a bar in Coney Island during the Mermaid Parade. We had a few drinks and laughs. The rest is history!

After surprising me at my car after work, we took a trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. We walked around looking at all of the beautiful flowers before we decided to sit by the azalea bushes. We sat in the grass, shoes off, and laughed and talked. When it was time to leave, I got up to put my shoes on and he was on his knee asking to marry me. Afterwards we had a delicious dinner in Park Slope, just us two. Then revisited one of our early date spots for his favorite dessert, ice cream.
