The health and safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us, and we have worked to confirm that each of our guests is vaccinated to ensure a safe weekend for everyone. We are also working with a wedding planner who is well versed and up to date on the most current COVID regulations in the state of Michigan, and will be following CDC guidelines. While our venues do not require proof of vaccination at this time, we STRONGLY encourage you to please get vaccinated if you have not done so already. If you are not fully vaccinated, we request you present a negative PCR test from 48 hours before the first event. While masks will not be required at any of the events, we will be providing them and encourage you to wear them if you prefer. Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors at the Country Club of Detroit. Dinner and dancing will take place in the great hall, with all doors open to the large outdoor terrace for optimal ventilation. If you would prefer to eat outdoors, please contact Katie and Dean and we can arrange for your table to be outside. There is a large outdoor terrace and lawn at the Country Club right off of the great hall, and it will have seating, cabanas, and fire pits so if you prefer to spend the evening outside, it will be very comfortable. The welcome party at the Detroit Foundation Hotel 5th Floor Lounge will be primarily indoors in a large, well ventilated room, though there is also an outdoor terrace off of the lounge for those that prefer to be outside.
For the ceremony and reception, it's Black Tie optional. Feel free to dust off that gown and go for it, or dance the nice away in your favorite cocktail dress or suit. The ceremony will be outside so wedges/flats are encouraged!
Yes, we will have shuttles for all of our guests staying in hotels in downtown Detroit to and from the ceremony/reception. A full itinerary of shuttle times will be provided in your welcome bags in your hotel rooms.
