Zoom will be open an hour prior to the beginning of the ceremony if you wish to enjoy association prior to the start of the event. It warms our heart that you have a desire to share in our culture! If you choose to celebrate with us in traditional wear, please see the following recommendations below. FOR WOMEN: Saree (শাড়ি): A draped fabric worn with a blouse. Fabrics like silk, chiffon, georgette, or jamdani are all lovely choices. Lehenga (লেহেঙ্গা): A skirt-and-blouse set, often with a matching dupatta (ওড়না). Salwar Kameez (সালোয়ার কামিজ) / Anarkali (আনারকলি): A long tunic or gown-style top with pants and a matching dupatta (ওড়না). Jewelry is more than welcome! (For example: bangles, jhumka earrings) FOR MEN: Panjabi (পাঞ্জাবি) / Kurta (কুর্তা): A long tunic, often embroidered, worn with a matching set of pants or white trousers. Sherwani (শেরওয়ানি): A structured coat-style garment. If you’re interested in wearing traditional attire and would like help finding something we’re happy to recommend shops or online boutiques. Yes! And we’re so excited to relive these moments through our photographer and videographer, so we ask that guests please avoid standing, stepping into the aisle, or holding phones up in a way that blocks their view.
