Flight
We recommend landing at JFK early if you plan to travel to the Hamptons on the same day as your flight. Airport to the Hamptons travel options: train, bus, or car can take 2-3 hours
Train
Getting to the Hamptons by Train (LIRR) 1. From JFK, take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station You can use tap-and-go at the turnstile with your credit card or mobile wallet. Cost: ~$8.50 Time: ~15–20 minutes 2. At Jamaica, transfer to the LIRR - Montauk Branch Train - take this train to your stop: East Hampton, Amagansett, or Montauk. LIRR tickets are purchased via the MTA TrainTime app or at station kiosks before boarding. Cost: $25-55, depending on your stop and peak hours Time: 2–2.5 hours ***Very important - Be sure to be in the first two train cars if you're getting off at Amagansett. Only the first two cars open at Amagansett station! ***
