We met thanks to our Maid of Honor and the groom's sister, Danielle, who was attending Salem College in the Fall of 2005. Erin traveled from The Bronx to investigate attending a women's college and living in the South. After casual hellos in the Fall of 2005 they didn't really speak for 10 years until Branton messaged Erin on Facebook messenger. He asked Erin out (finally!) on July 1st 2016 and the rest is history! In fact, they got engaged on July 1, 2017, exactly a year after that first Facebook message.

Branton planned to propose at the cookout his parents were throwing in celebration of their wedding anniversary on July 1st. For weeks prior, he discretely notified the family and friends planning to attend. On the day of the event, the guests were abuzz with excitement of the upcoming proposal, all under Erin's nose. Branton began a speech about the importance of family that culminated in his question on one knee asking Erin to grow his family by 1. After the engagement, almost like a dream, a double rainbow appeared!
