Rossilind, you are a woman of grace and unwavering support, you and Deacon Daniels (Papa) have been a true inspiration and a blessing to our family. Your presence has been a constant source of wisdom, love, and encouragement, from being there before my child was born to becoming an active and cherished part of her life as her ‘Yaya.’ You embodies unconditional love in every sense of the word. My first love, the purest form of love. To the woman that taught me how to love, my mom I feel like I owe you so much. You have been my EVERYTHING. Your faith, your amazing strength, your wisdom, your prayers oh my God, your prayers. It’s like you have the special connection right to God‘s ears. You have taught me how to be strong how to trust in the Lord and find a way to get things done. I got my ability to lead and my drive from you. I love you so much lady and no matter what life throws my way, I know I’ll always have your unwavering love and support and I’m grateful for you always being by my side and being there on my special day also. Love you Mom!

Erma Beaton

Bonus Mom of Bride

My Bonus Mother, Mom since the moment you entered my life 24 years ago, you have loved me as if I were your own. You and my Mom’s relationship is truly remarkable; you’ve never made me feel left out or shown any favoritism. I often express my admiration for you. When I tell my dad that he made a wonderful decision by finding you, I mean it with every fiber of my being. I love you deeply and am thrilled that you’re here in my life to share this joyous occasion with me.

Solomon Beaton

Father of the Bride

My Daddy, that’s how I always called your name. I vividly recall MeMa saying once, “That’s not just your father.” (lol) Dad, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering presence in my life. Thank you for believing in me and imparting all the valuable lessons you’ve taught me. Having you walk me down the aisle will be a cherished memory that I’ll hold close to my heart forever.

Vanessa Gaddist

Mother of the Groom

To my Mother the Woman who goes through hell and back for her son. My mom is such a Sweet and Caring mom. I pray that I made you proud with everything from me introducing you to Annette to me telling you that I wanted to propose to her. In life we don’t always know the ending result but I do know that I am so Happy and Blessed that my Mom will be right there to celebrate as we bring both of our families together and celebrate in Holy Matrimony.

David Gaddist

Father of the Groom

What can I say about my father David Gaddist, he is a strong minded man. He always speaks his mind. I appreciate you for being my father and showing what it takes to be a good father. I still recall the day when I mentioned about Annette for the first time to you and our conversation we had, well I guess it resonated with me because now I’m getting married to such an amazing Woman. We are super excited to have you there and apart of our wedding.

Lynette Duggins

Matron of Honor

Lynette, our friendship blossomed about 17 or 18 years ago when we worked together at Primerica. Our bond has endured ever since. You played a pivotal role in helping me secure my first legitimate office job, which I absolutely loved. I spent approximately five years working there with you before the company closed. During that same period, you also guided me through the process of purchasing my first home. Throughout my life, you’ve been a constant source of wisdom, guidance, and personal growth. You’ve been by my side through my triumphs and tribulations, proving to be an unwavering loyal friend. This relationship will forever be cherished in my heart, and I’m overjoyed that you’ll stand by me on this momentous occasion.

Ivory Beaton McCormick

Matron of Honor

Auntie, our bond has been strong since I was young. We’ve been each other’s confidants, listening ears, and validators during our grief over the loss of your mother and my Me Ma. This shared experience has only strengthened our connection. We’d reminisce about our childhood, when we’d play even as adults when Me Ma was still here. I’d pretend to be annoyed and act as though you were hitting me , and she’d fuss and tell you to stop, reminding us that we were too old to be playing so da*n much. I often say that we grew up when Me Ma left us. Since her passing, I’ve had a baby, turned to you for everything I would have called her for. You’ve become my personal nurse, providing me with support and comfort in everything I need. You love on Nova as if she’s the embodiment of love for Me Ma and you. I pray that I can offer you the same support and comfort that you’ve given me throughout my life. You’ve been an incredible support system, and I’m so grateful for your presence in my life. It’s only right that you continue to stand by my side, just as you’ve always done.

Jalaya Rutledge

Maid of Honor

Bestfriend! I vividly recall the first time I held you. I knew then that you and I would be besties. Although, the first three years were quite challenging. You didn’t seem to reciprocate my affection much. I remember a few instances, maybe even twice, but the exact number doesn’t matter. I remember actually getting teary-eyed because I couldn’t comprehend why you didn’t like me initially. Despite these difficulties, it all paled in comparison to the joy we found in becoming best friends shortly after. You’ve remained steadfast even after your other aunties attempted to bribe you to be their bestfriend. You’ve proven yourself to be an unwavering bestfriend. You remind me so much of myself, and I cherish every aspect of it. On my engagement night, you expressed your congratulations, saying, “Congratulations, bestfriend!” Oh my gosh! I’m going to be a Maid of Honor! You’ve earned your spot and claimed it with pride, Bestie! I am so honored to have my little best friend by my side on this special day.

John Hobbs

Best Man

To My Best-man John Hobbs, firstly let me say thank you for taking on this Important Big Role of being my Best-man. You have been a special person to me since I first met you when I joined the Summerville Medical Center Family. You have always looked after me and supported me. When I came back and took over as head of Security you never treated me differently. You always treated me like I was more than a colleague but as a Brotha. I appreciate you and I’m Super Blessed to have you as my Best-man.

Tammy Rutledge

Bridesmaid

My sister, my A-1 from day one. You came into my life and became my baby when I was just five years old. It took Momma atleast 10 years to realize we weren’t twins. She dressed us in matching outfits every chance she could. I knew then that you would be special in my life then and even more now. Thank you for the gift of my “first” nephew and my little “bestfriend”(maid of honor) Thank you for always being by my side and especially on my wedding day.

Shawanda Bowman

Bridesmaid

To my forever ride or die sister, the middle one, I am so proud of you. I’ve witnessed your unwavering strength as you’ve overcome obstacles and challenges. As I’ve watched you grow, I’ve been in awe of your transformation in Christ and your unwavering faith in your walk. While you may not attend church every Sunday, your faith is evident in your heart, and you’re never afraid to express it. Thank you for two incredible gifts that you’ve given me: my first niece, the beautiful and talented Kamara (KK), and my newest niece, Nyla. I am so grateful for you and ecstatic that you’ll be there alongside me on my pivotal juncture.

Faith Bowman

Bridesmaid

Faith Lauryn, the youngest of the group, fills my heart with immense pride. Watching you grow up has been an incredible journey for me. As you matured and blossomed into an extraordinary individual, I was fortunate enough to nurture and witness your remarkable development. Your maturity for your age is truly remarkable, and your gifts of intelligence and humor shine through in everything you do. I am overjoyed for you as you achieve this milestone of buying your first house at the tender age of 23. You will always hold a special place in my heart, and I can’t imagine my wedding day without your presence by my side.

Watching the shared memories you create together fills my heart with joy. I am thankful for our laughter, meaningful conversations, and the unbreakable bond we share. While I may not be able to have you physically by my side on my wedding day, I know that you will be there, celebrating with us. Sending you all my love, sis!

Karnisha Monea Aiken

Nisha, I know we joke around a lot, so I know you’re looking for me to say something silly, but I’m not. Lol. Cuz, your humor and wit bring so much joy to every moment we share. Your strength, brilliance, and dependability shine in everything you do. I’m so grateful to have you as my bridesmaid and to share this special day with you.

Nakura Gaddist

Bridesmaid

Nakura, when I first met you, you were pleasant and sweet. I recall your mom and soon-to-be my mother-in-law asking me back then if I knew a good male friend for you. I didn’t have one, but I knew you deserved better. I had no idea you would go after the best and choose my brother. Haha! I guess you said I will be your sister, one way or the other. I couldn’t have picked a better person to gain as a sister. Thank you for accepting me and loving me. I’m also grateful for the gift of my sweet niece, Phat Phat and I eagerly await the arrival of our new addition.

Christy Seabrook

Bridesmaid

Christy, my Steven! Our family made us kin, but Gloria brought us even closer. (RIL Gloria.) Christy, thank you for being more than just family; you’re also a wonderful friend. We’ve shared so many conversations, laughed together, and told stories. I’m so grateful that you’ve been there for me and will continue to be on my special day.

Ameerah Fulmore

Bridesmaid

Friend, we met as coworkers and I never imagined our friendship would lead us to this moment. We started as coworkers and blossomed into truly great friends. In our office, we had a special bond. We would often close the door and pray together, addressing any issues we faced, whether work-related or personal, and extending our prayers to others. I can’t help but recall the most heated argument we ever had. I was pregnant at the time and didn’t realize it, but I was feeling pretty bad and had my head down on the desk. Something you said to me, I honestly don’t remember what it was, but we were arguing passionately. On that day, I thought our friendship was over, but fate had other plans. You and your husband became our daughter “God parents,” and your family became my family. This type of friendship is rare and precious, and I’m honored that you’ll be by my side on my wedding day.
