A boy proposed to a girl. Simple and sweet, right? After many wedding plans, locations, and a pandemic - we have settled on a wedding plan. (Yes, if you are close to us, you have heard this before. I promise at this point we are out of contingency plans!) The beauty of our final wedding plan, that we are thrilled to share with you, is that it is completely us. It is as untraditional and quirky as we are as individuals and as we are together. Our pre-wedding celebrations with close friends will be in Texas - where Dayton proposed and where we celebrated our engagement first. And New Orleans - where we have gotten lost way too many times. We will be married in the mountains with one of our close friends officiating. In the spirit of keeping everyone safe and healthy, we will only be having a few guests in attendance and the ceremony will be outdoors. Later, when things are safer, we will have an at home reception for everyone to celebrate our marriage. Welcome to our wedding. We are thankful that you have been here with us through this very different planning process. Lets eat, drink, and get married! Kathryn & Dayton
Scratch that. Once there was a preppy, cardigan wearing girl and an awkward, sweet guy. Somehow they ended up teaching Sunday School together at St. Paschal's Catholic Church and became good friends. He asked her out - after a year of her constant hints and flirting. Our first date consisted of Jurassic World and pink champagne snow cones at Eskamoe's (in a true "An Affair to Remember" fashion). Flash forward 6 years of movie nights, strongman competitions, tennis matches, ULM football games & tailgating, late nights at the CCM, a million study dates, lazy coffee shop mornings, - and you will find us here: best friends in love, ready to continue to grow together throughout our lives. We are so glad that you will be sharing our special day with us. We are so excited, and can hardly wait to start our lives together! Love, Soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Thompson
