When should I RSVP by?

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone to feel comfortable and won't *officially* request anything beyond cocktail attire. That said, it's New Years Eve in a mansion, and we'd love for you to take the opportunity to get extra fancy with your outfits, so the unofficial dress code is as follows: Ladies- upstage the bride, Gentlemen: black tie preferred. Feathers, sequins & bow ties are all encouraged.

Are Kids Welcome?

While we absolutely love your kids, our wedding will be adults only. Thank you for understanding!

May I Bring a Date?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone! However, due to space constraints, our celebration is limited to those named on your invitation. If you'd like to confirm who is on your invitation or request an exception, please reach out.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The doors open at 7PM, ceremony begins promptly at 7:30.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Residence Inn, Downtown Norfolk. This is a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to the venue. Book using this link https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1752781500738&key=GRP&app=resvlink or mention the Smith-Lamade wedding if calling by phone. Valid through 11/30 We can also recommend the Glasslight Hotel and the Inn at 411 York.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

No, we are unable to provide transportation to and from the venue. The Residence Inn Downtown is a 5 minute drive (or 15 minute walk) to the Martin Mansion. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are readily available.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, the venue provides complimentary valet services.

I have a food allergy or restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course. Please reach out to us by 11/15 to ensure we have time to accomodate!
