Daylin and Payton met through student leadership, in their senior year of high school at the Well Community Church. Daylin caught Payton's attention when she brought rice crispy treats into the first leadership meeting. He noticed the treats first then the pretty girl second. At winter retreat Payton reeled Daylin in with his killer dance moves. You'll see why at the reception. But their relationship truly started on march 22nd 2018, when Payton made the first move with a simple message wishing her a happy birthday. That was the beginning of their forever.

Payton proposed to Daylin on a hike in Arnold called the waterfall lookout. Although he was extremely nervous Payton held his nerve for the hike without tipping Daylin off to everything that was about to happen. At the top of the hike Daylin wanted to recreate a picture taken on the same hike about a year earlier, this set up the perfect spot for Payton to pop the question. He got down on one knee and and asked Daylin to marry him. She took a moment to soak it all in and then, through her over the moon excitement, she said yes.
