Cole and I met at the University of Northern Iowa at a friendly gathering hosted by my Maid of Honor and best friend, Grace. Although intimidated by his great looks and towering height, Cole and I hit it off right away. We had a night filled with a lot of laughter, dancing, and singing (still some of our favorite things to do together :)). I had so much fun! Towards the end of the night, with his wit and charming charisma, Cole asked me to go out on a date with him. Of course, I said yes. That following week, he planned a perfect date, taking me to the local Mexican Restaurant (I still do not know how he knew I loved Mexican food!). Cole was so nervous that he barely touched his food. Despite being anxious, Cole was a true gentleman and held every door for me. He asked all of the right questions and made me laugh. From that day forward, we were inseparable. Last June, Cole finally popped the question at my grandparents' century-old farm. He knew how much that place meant to me. It was beautiful and perfect. Our love has only grown stronger as we finished college through our deep connection, shared faith, and unwavering support for each other's accomplishments. I cannot wait to marry the love of my life! To this day, Cole continues to inspire me to become the best version of myself. He is my safe place, my greatest adventure, and my best friend. "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:6-7)
