On the heels of the world just starting to open up again in the summer of 2021, Yani and Dan dipped their toes into the online dating world and quickly met each other. And Dan learned a few things about Yani on their first date that he would never forget: 1) She is even more stunning in real life. 2) Her kindness knows no limits. And 3) She's always hungry. What was supposed to be just drinks rapidly became dinner, drinks, and then more food and drinks. Dan was grateful as it meant he would be able to spend more time with this wondrous human who is both lovely and funny. On their very first date, and probably due in no small part to not being around other humans for a while, Dan asked Yani to spend a weekend in Disneyland with him, and in what probably should be alarming to her friends and family, she accepted. That would begin a journey of neverending travel and meals (and lots of snacks) together that always brings the most amount of joy to their lives. From the hills of San Francisco, to the jungles of Mexico, to the heights of NYC, to the lights of Paris, traveling together has brought out in them both the extreme joy of always being together, and laughing, and always, always eating. And it was in Paris where these two would get engaged on the Seine River on 9.12.22, where Yani obviously said 'yes', despite Dan trying to make her see the hilarious side of her being pickpocketed on the Metro the day before. Now living together in Pasadena in their new home, and having not killed each other during the renovation process, they are thrilled to welcome all of you to their wedding on 10/7/23 in Los Angeles, where there will be tons of joy to go around, and plenty of food.
