We met through mutual friends in college and instantly had an undeniable connection. It was quite funny as because the couple met by total chance, Dayanara's and her best friend Courtney were bored one night and decided to hang a "Hi" sign on their apartment window to see if anyone would respond. Maximilian's friend Chad replied "Hi" as well and back and forth for a few days until eventually Dayanara went over to meet the people they'd been exchanging messages with. A friendship was born and on the third time Dayanara and Courtney went over to the other apartment for a dinner party. Chad had decided to invite another friend over, his friend Maximilian, who also lived in the same apartment complex. The night Maximilian and Dayanara met they quickly became best friends and became inseparable. Within a month they realized how much they cared for each other and started dating.

One year after dating Maximilian and Daynara went on a fun road trip through Colorado. They visited Estes Park, Breckenridge, and Colorado Springs. In Breckenridge Maximilian took Dayanara to a park that had a beautiful lake. After all weekend long when he had been making jokes and making comments suggesting a proposal, (though Dayanara had not thought much of it as he would tell her he had a different plan and did not have a ring yet) During the walk in the park Dayanara noticed a picnic that had been set up for someone. To which Maximilian commented on and suggested Dayanara go over and look closer at. Though Daynara was nervous to go near (as she thought it might have been someone else's picnic) There was a sign that said "flip me over" to which Maximilian suggested Dayanara do so. As soon as she did, there was written "Marry Me." Shocked and filled with joy, Dayanara turned around, and there Maximilian was on one knee, holding a ring.
