Travel Tips
Pre-Arrival:
1. Remember to pack bug repellent, there are a ton of mosquitos, and the hotel upcharges for everything.
2. There are dress codes for restaurants. We will likely eat at a restaurant at least once for dinner. For men, pack a pair of jeans or dressy shorts (no basketball shorts!) for dinners.
3. While tipping is not mandatory, we recommend bringing some cash in smaller bills to give out to drivers, servers, and, cleaning personnel. The staff is very attentive and they deserve it!
Upon Arrival:
1. When going through customs, keep the customs form they return to you. You will need it for departure back home!
2. When leaving the airport, do not stop to talk to any salesman. It will be chaotic, just ignore them and find your shuttle sign.

Do we have to pay extra to eat at the restaurants?
Answer
No! The only restaurant that is an extra charge is the Sal restaurant. Everything else in included in the cost of your stay. Restaurants are only open for dinner

Is the tap water safe to drink?
Answer
No! Do not drink tap water. Water served at the buffets and restaurants is fine. The ice served in drinks at the bar is also okay. You probably should brush your teeth with tequila! (JK)
