Ask Mike, he will tell you he had the biggest crush on Shannon when he met her during a trial. Shannon was utterly impressed with Mike's trial skills and how he looked in his navy suit. She let him borrow her umbrella, and he went skipping away with the umbrella in tow. He then thought he lost it. Shannon teased Mike about it, and he wanted to replace it. She insisted it was a large red Nike umbrella with the words NIKE on the side. He went through the trouble of researching and going to different stores to find the exact same umbrella to replace. He finally found it (by the way, no Nike umbrellas were ever made with just the word NIKE. Instead, it had a big Nike swoosh on the side) and brought it to her office. According to Mike, Shannon didn’t stop typing on her computer and said, “thanks, put it with the others.” Secretly though, Shannon also had a crush on Mike. It would be 2 more years before they actually started dating, but they both knew it was inevitable. Mike moved into Shannon’s office and the rest is history. P.S. We still have the umbrella.

It was New Years Eve 2023. As was tradition for the last three years, Mike would cook an amazing meal while Shannon drank champagne in her cute red festive jammies. This time, Mike was planning something big. He was making crab cakes, caesar salad and beef wellington. Around 8:30, Mike asked Shannon to pour them both a glass of champagne and to come to the kitchen. Shannon paused what she was watching (Mrs. Doubtfire) and followed Mike into the kitchen. It's then when he got down on one knee and said something very sweet probably, but Shannon blacked out and started crying. Then about 1 minute later, the doorbell rang. Mike had planned a huge surprise with Shannon's closest family and friends from near and far, and it was truly the best night ever!!!
