Some love stories are written in the stars—ours was written on a class schedule. In 7th grade, like every other kid, we excitedly shared our class schedules at the start of the school year. By pure coincidence, we realized we had *every single class* together. Naturally, we joked that we had no choice but to become friends. Little did we know, that joke would turn into something much bigger. Dawson was smitten from the start. Our teacher, Mr. Davey, even noticed and offered him some life-changing advice: *"Perseverance pays off."* Taking those words to heart, Dawson spent months sheepishly asking Sabrina out, turning to all her friends for advice. Eventually, Sabrina gave him a chance, and from then on, we were inseparable—late-night phone calls, handwritten notes, and a lifetime of inside jokes began. Our story wouldn’t be complete without a little *drama*—literally. In middle school, we were both in theatre, where Dawson played Aladdin, and Sabrina stole the show as the Genie. In high school, music became our shared passion as we both joined the esteemed Chamber Choir, performing together in ways that deepened our bond even more. And because every great love story has its ups and downs, ours was no exception. Our high school years played out like a *telenovela*—dating, breaking up, dramatic love confessions at parties, you name it. At his lowest moment, Dawson even made the *brilliant* decision to break up with Sabrina during the Disney fireworks. (Spoiler: *horrible* timing. More on that later…) After high school, we took the leap and moved in together, navigating college, bills, and even braving the COVID vaccine side by side. And because music had always been part of our story, we formed a band called **Dadbug**—Dawson on drums, Sabrina on vocals, Sabrina’s brother Dan on bass, and our friend Mitch on guitar. We’ve been performing ever since and recently started recording our own music! Years later, Dawson finally got a chance to rewrite his Disney mistake. After a perfect day at the parks, he proposed to Sabrina at the Waldorf Astoria, just as the fireworks lit up the sky. This time, instead of heartbreak, there was laughter, tears, and a *yes*!
