The requested attire is "garden formal." Formal attire in pastel or bright colors. This website has good guidelines on what that looks like! (https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-summer-wedding) Please no jeans, t shirts, or shorts. Gentlemen, please wear a collared shirt. (We know it is June in Charleston, we've got A/C!)
Yes! Please let us know as soon as possible after receiving the invitation if you plan to join us or respectfully decline.
Unless specifically stated in your invitation, guests are asked to not bring anyone that is not formally invited.
Unless your child's name is on your formal invitation, we request that you enjoy a child-free date night.
Both our ceremony and reception spaces have parking nearby. PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY to ensure ample time to park. I'd recommend giving yourself at least 20 extra minutes to figure out parking and to include walk time. **UPDATE 6/3: For the ceremony, there is limited paid parking at 256 Meeting St. There are garages within walking distance. Good options are The Charleston Place Hotel (garage entrance at 83 Hasell St) and 69 Wentworth St. At the Camden room, guests can pay a small fee to park their cars in any nearby garage. The Visitors Center parking garage and lots are both near the Camden Room. More details will be provided day-of.
We would not expect you to willingly be at an outdoor event in June in Charleston. Torture is not our forte. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors with air conditioning. Cocktail hour will be in a covered breezeway with fans. However, it will be warm (scorching) outside, so plan accordingly.
Passed hors'devoures will be served during the cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony. For dinner, stations of southern classics will be served. Please let us know if you have any dietary concerns.
