We’re getting married!

We met back in middle-school, if you can believe that. Maybe it was Dawson's long hair or Claudia's bulky baritone case, but whatever it was, it stuck. Fast forward to a few years of dating in high-school, a breakup, a few years of growing a platonic friendship, a few short months of renewed, unspoken love, and a few loooong semesters (years...) of long-distance dating. We just can't seem to get rid of each other! Lucky us.

On June 19, 2021 Claudia and Dawson were in Fredricksburg, TX celebrating their four-year anniversary. Amid a beautiful hill-country backdrop, Dawson proposed at sunset. Claudia said yes, of course, and the onlooking deer rejoiced. (We can't prove that last part, but like to believe it anyway...)

Currently, Dawson and Claudia share a home in the Museum District area of Houston, TX. After graduating from Rice in 2019, Claudia became a member of the 2019 Teach for America Corps, teaching English to high-school freshman in Southeast Houston. After this two-year commitment ended in 2021 (the weirdest year for teachers, ever), she decided she still had some teaching in her, and committed to her placement school for 1-2 more years. This means she will see her first group of students graduate in the Spring of 2023! Dawson recently accepted a position as a Wealth Advisor at Truist Bank.
