Well, ours is a modern love story... we met on an online matchmaking website in July 2017 and spent our first date dancing the night away at a small restaurant! It was truly love at first sight! We captured so many photos together that night, full of our bright smiles and adoring stares! We were lovestruck! That was the beginning of our forever; we’ve been inseparable ever since! Our second date was a surprise excursion that Chris planned. It was amazing! We drove to San Francisco’s beautiful coastline and watched a magical sunset while doing disco yoga on the beach with dolphins dancing in the waves! Over the next few weeks we treated each other to romantic dates and spent time learning each other. From champagne on rooftops, poolside bbqs, to exotic homemade dinners and salsa dancing under the moonlight! Our relationship blossomed as we became the closest of best friends and fell in love with each shared moment. Eventually we decided to move into our first apartment together and began building our home together. We rescued two of the cutest puppies and together we became a little family. We both found exactly what we had been waiting so long for, the purest love of our lives, and we have cherished each other since the very first time we met!

Fast forward a year and a few months to April 2019. It was a warm and sunny day; perfect for a fun day at the beach! Chris suggested we do just that; drive down the California Coast to a Santa Cruz Beach for the day! We found a secluded beach, seemingly a hidden jewel, and nestled into the warm sand. We shared cheese and prosciutto along with Rosé as a snack and gazed out across the waves. A helicopter flew above us and Chris suggested that next time, we should take a ride in one too... We spent the rest of the day walking along the shore collecting seashells and driftwood. The next morning, Sunday April 14th, Chris woke early and hurried me to get dressed, “C’mon let’s go to the beach again!” We both love the beach so of course I hopped out of bed in a flash! We packed our beach blanket, sunscreen, and snacks again. But this time, Chris was determined to stop at the store for two personal size champagne bottles. We made our way down the coast on the highway, passed the exit to the beach, and onward to an industrial area... Signs read, “Municipal Airport” as Chris pulled into the lot and parked the car. “Surprise! We’re taking a helicopter tour!” We buckled up and took flight above California’s coastline in a private helicopter. The views were absolutely amazing! We snapped pics of each other and the aerial views, as if trying to capture the sights forever. Chris asked me to take a selfie of us with the sky in the background; I did. And when I looked at the photo after just taking it, the sight was breathtaking! I doubled looked at the photo and even pulled it closer to my eyes, in shock... Chris was holding up the engagement ring with the most loving smile ever! It was like a dream, a fairytale scene, and I had captured that very moment in a selfie! He took my hand and asked me to marry him! With tears of joy streaming down my face, I said YES! When we landed, Chris bent the knee, and I knew from that moment I would forever be his Queen and him, my King.
