the start of a new chapter

Like all good modern love stories, ours started on a dating app. In August 2022 we matched and quickly bonded over movies, family, and favorite hobbies. We talked every day until Joshua suggested we meet in person — and, true to Wisconsin form, our first date was at Culver’s. We discovered we share a birthday (like Joshua’s parents), which felt like a little sign we were meant to meet. After a few hours of talking we kept seeing each other and fell into a comfortable, joyful rhythm. Over the next few years we traveled to visit family, took mini weekend getaways, watched movies, walked together, cooked meals, built gingerbread houses, and enjoyed picnics. On October 1, 2025, Joshua planned a surprise picnic filled with good food, perfect weather, and a ring that symbolized our happily ever after :)
