We're Getting Married!

It was August 2022 in downtown Athens, Georgia. The school year had just begun, and Davon and Tristan were both stepping into new chapters at UGA! Tristan started her sophomore year, and Davon just having transferred from Augusta started his first semester at UGA. On Tristan’s second day of working at her new job downtown, she walked in and immediately noticed a cute coworker, a guy with tattoos, a beanie, and a head of dark curly hair! Tristan walked right up to him, introduced herself, and asked his name. Over the noise of work, she thought she heard him say “Gavin.” So! for the next two to three weeks after their first meeting, she called him Gavin with full confidence!… until one day, he finally corrected her. His name, of course, was Davon! From Davon’s perspective, he was so focused on learning the ropes at work that he didn’t even realize Tristan was flirting with him! Weeks later they bumped into each other on campus during the school week, and Davon asked Tristan if she wanted to study together! They ended up hanging out and talking for hours and became fast friends! That friendship turned into something more as they started spending time together constantly—at work, with friends, and at school! Then, on December 4, 2022, after a work party they attended together, they shared their first kiss! A month later on January 14, 2023, Davon officially asked Tristan to be his girlfriend and the rest is history! Now we're starting our next chapter together!!!
