What time do the events start?

Answer

The Riverview is open to our guests starting at 4:00pm. The ceremony will be starting promptly at 4:30pm, followed by a cocktail hour from 5:00-6:00pm, then a formal reception.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear gowns or cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Please note any food allergies on your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there is a shuttle that will run from the Simsbury Inn to the Riverview prior to the ceremony, from 3:30pm-4:30pm, and at the end of the evening, starting at 9:00pm-11:00pm. If you would like to drive to the venue and take the shuttle home, parking is allowed over night at the Riverview and is a quick walk from the Simsbury Inn across the street and a parking lot to pick up your car in the morning.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of free onsite parking at the Riverview, which is located 0.5 miles from the Simsbury Inn.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved room blocks at the Simsbury Inn. Room block link is under the 'Travel' Section. The room block is held until April 30th. After that you will have to call the hotel directly at (860) 651-5700 to receive our discounted room rate. Let them know it is for the Davitt/Prince Wedding.

Where is the closest airport to fly in to?

Answer

Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, is a 25 minute drive to the hotel/venue. Serves most major airlines.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’ve elected to limit our ceremony and reception to adults only. We hope you take the opportunity to treat our wedding day as a night to relax and enjoy! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us!
