Our story began on a warm Friday night—September 22, 2023—under the Friday night lights at Grayson High School. Jared was there escorting the Lowndes football team, and I was working with the Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen. In the middle of the excitement and chaos of game night, our paths crossed for the very first time… and we didn’t say a single word to each other. Just a quick glance and a moment shared—one we’d both remember. After the game, Jared was curious enough to ask around about me. A few days later, I got a Facebook friend request from him, which I accepted—but still, nothing happened. That is, until about a week later, after the big Lowndes vs. Valdosta rivalry game, when I received a simple message: “Hey! :)” I took my time responding, but when I finally did, he followed up with, “What did you think about that Lowndes Valdosta game?” A very Jared way to start a conversation (LOL), and it worked. From there, we went from casual messages to daily chats, and it didn’t take long to realize we had something special. Our first date was a relaxed jeep ride—nothing fancy, just good music, great conversation, and that feeling you get when something just clicks. Since then, our journey has been filled with love, laughter, and a lot of growth. We became proud “paw”rents to our two fur babies, Sox and Bella, who quickly became the center of our little family. On October 8, 2024, we shared a huge life moment together—we became an aunt and uncle for the first time to Briar! It was a joy we’ll never forget. Not everything was easy, though. In September 2024, we faced a traumatic leg injury that turned life upside down. It was scary, painful, and exhausting—but it also brought us closer than ever. We leaned on each other, grew stronger together, and proved that love truly shows up in the hard times. Then, on March 28, 2025, in the heart of New York City, Jared asked me to marry him during a perfect moment in Central Park. It was magical, unforgettable, and everything we could have dreamed of. Now, we’re counting down the days to our wedding—ready to start this next chapter of life as husband and wife, best friends, and lifelong teammates.
