Our story begins back in 2006 where we happened to meet because two of our close friends started dating. (Fun Fact: It was our Matron of Honor and Best Man) We officially met for the first time at the park in Wye Oak while hanging out with a bunch of our friends. We saw each other more within passing in the hallways at schools, Friday night football games, and even went to the Freshmen/Sophomore dance together that year. We started officially dating on October 26, 2007 when Matt asked me to be his girlfriend after kissing me in the pouring rain. Following that romantic moment, we spent the rest of the night watching a Saw movie in theaters with all of my cousins. Over the next 14 years we spent time getting to know each other, both families, and taking on many new adventures, like completing multiple Tough Mudders. From playing Pictionary and Heads UP! to vacations in Vegas and everything in between, we have developed not only a relationship, but have become best friends. December 2016 we bought our first home together and with the help of both family and friends we renovated the entire thing. Over the past 5 years of living together we adding Oliver and Remi to our home.

On our 12th dating anniversary, Matt took me to Cape May to visit the shops, take a tour of the town, and walk the beach. While entering the beach, Matt got down on one knee and asked me to be with him for the rest of his life as his wife. He had a photographer there to capture the moment and surprised me with both of our families waiting for us at the restaurant to celebrate together. Due to COVID and the safety concerns of our friends and family, we decide to postpone our December 19th, 2020 wedding to February 26, 2022. On this day, we will make our vows in front of our friends and family who have been with us on this journey and promise to love and cherish each other as husband and wife for the rest of our lives.
