Taylor and I first met in the spring of 2016 while we were both working at Middle Tennessee State University. I was the assistant volleyball coach and he was the strength and conditioning coach for my team. While we didn’t spend too much time together those first few months, we formed a close friendship during the summer months and quickly realized that there was something more there. We started dating in September of 2016 but did not make it very public at first due to the close working relationship we had (side note my entire team kept telling me all fall that we should date). Fast forward to February of 2017 I left for another job in Marquette, MI and shortly after my move; Taylor got a job that took him to San Antonio, TX (literal opposite ends of the country). However, despite being so far away our relationship continued to grow and by December of 2018 we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. The week of July 4th we were in Florida for a vacation with his family when he surprised me by popping the question the first night, July 2, 2019. The surprises didn’t end there, as we went to meet his parents for dinner I walk into the restaurant to see my parents (and my sister and brother in law on FaceTime) sitting there waiting to celebrate! It was a perfect day that we will never forget. This is only the beginning of our story; we cannot wait to start our forever together!
