Lindsay and Austin met in 2008. The two first crossed paths at an event hosted by a local music store, where they both took guitar lessons. After becoming fast friends, it quickly became apparent that they shared an undeniable chemistry. Austin and Lindsay would remain best friends for five years, before finally beginning to date two weeks before their high school graduation.

On December 7th, 2019, Austin picked Lindsay up from her house, wearing his Sunday best. Complete with a soundtrack with songs from every year of their friendship-turned-relationship, the two retraced some of their most favorite pastimes. From recreating their very first date, to prancing through the latest exhibit at the Frist museum of art- the two went on an adventure that beautifully encapsulated all of their history, showing how they had truly grown up together. Austin proposed amidst a nest of Christmas lights, and Lindsay was overjoyed to accept.
