How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Answer

The private car, nonstop van, and van with stops will all be through the company Amstar (wearing blue shirts with flowers & monstera leaves on them). Your transportation between hotel and airport will be booked by Lesley and be included in your room price. The most fun and cheapest option will be to coordinate travel with groups of 6 people for a private car! We can help coordinate once we get a better idea of everyone's travel details. Here are the options: Van with stops - $41/person (already included in price listed above for accommodation) Van nonstop to hotel - $71/person Private car for up to 6 people - $157 total ($26/person if 6 people, $39/person if 4 people)

How many restaurants, bars, and pools are there at the hotel?

Answer

The hotel is actually three combined properties - you can walk between all of them or take the shuttle. El Dorado Royale & Casitas Royale are adult only (18+) and Generations Riviera Maya is a kid friendly resort. By staying at El Dorado Royale you can dine, shop, and get drinks at all restaurants/bars at all three properties! There are 19 restaurants, 21 bars & pool bars, 5 shops, 2 spas, a gym & sauna, 7 pools, on property, plus 24/7 room service!

What clothes should I pack? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, there is a dress code when dinning on property at the restaurants; otherwise normal beach/pool attire is acceptable :) You can find more details about the dress code on either resorts' website under the “Restaurants/Bars” tab: for Royale (https://www.eldoradosparesorts.com/royale-restaurants-bars) & for Casitas (https://www.eldoradosparesorts.com/casitas-royale-restaurants-bars) Breakfast/Lunch: NOT PERMITTED- Swimming suits/bikinis if not covered, bro tanks/sleeveless shirts with oversized armpit holes, baseball caps or any type of hat. PERMITTED - Sleeveless dresses, non-opaque swimsuit cover ups, normal coverage tank tops are allowed. Dinner Dress Code: FEMININE- Dresses, skirts, long pants, shoes, Capri pants and elegant sandals; MASCULINE- Long pants, collared shirts, formal bermudas, formal sandals and casual shoes. NOT PERMITTED: Baseball caps, tank tops, flip-flops and sport shorts.

Mexican Pesos or USA Dollars for TIPS, sunscreen, bug spray, aloe vera (sunburn relief just in case), bathing suit, sunglasses, water shoes (for excursions :] )

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes :) Your passport must be valid for up to 6 months past the arrival date. So you need a valid passport that expires after August 22, 2022. You need to apply for a passport before 11/12/2021 as the State Department is still saying it could take 10-14 weeks to receive it.

Can I bring a date? Do I have to have a date?

Answer

You can bring a plus one :) Just let us know for a head count when you RSVP and when you book everything with Lesley. And again, if your date also has any dietary restrictions please let us know! Or if you want to fly solo you definitely can as well! The pricing is a little different than what is listed here in the FAQs, so just reach out to us or Lesley can let you know the differences.

How much will my accommodations cost?

What is included in my hotel payment through Lesley?

Included in price: - Beautiful Hotel room - Amazing All-Inclusive resort offerings: nightly entertainment/dance parties, free bike/water sport rentals, and unlimited gourmet food + drinks - restaurant food, snack food, room service, mini bar, drinks (it is estimated that for two people eating 3 meals at restaurants a day + drinks for a week vacation = $1400/week - the only cash you'll need while on property is for tips!) - Airport to hotel transportation (private cars & vans - currently price listed above includes the $82 for two people in a van with other passengers & stops) So basically you only have to book airline tickets + other excursions you may want to do, otherwise everything else will be booked and paid for within the trip price :)

When is my payment for the hotel due? Are there payment plans?

Answer

Final payment is due 12/15/21. When you call Lesley to secure your room & transportation, she will take an initial deposit (approx. 10%). You can setup a payment plan with Lesley to do a little bit each month or just pay in full in December.

When should I be in Mexico?

Answer

We have multiple trip lengths to choose from. Our wedding ceremony is on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. It is Presidents' Day weekend so you may get the day off from work, yay! 4 nights - 2/19-2/23 5 nights - 2/19-2/24 6 nights - 2/19-2/25 7 nights - 2/19-2/26 (what we are doing)

Do I need trip insurance? Is it offered?

Answer

You do not need to add insurance to your trip if you do not want to, but if that gives you a greater peace of mind Lesley will offer it to you when you call to book your accommodations. Options: No Insurance - $0 added to cost Cancel for any reason + get future credit with Lesley/Travel Leaders - $75/person Cancel for any reason + get refund - $185/person

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Answer

We would love to have everyone together at one place, but it is definitely not required :) We just need to know if you are staying off property as we have to get you and your guest day passes to come on property for the various events and they need this information pretty far in advance.

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! That is one of the reasons we love this property. They cater to all food allergies/dietary restrictions. Just please let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure to notify the culinary staff.

Are kids and/or pets welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately no, the resort is adults only 18+ and no pets are welcome except for service animals.
