We love little ones, but for this event, we’re keeping it adults-only. Thanks for understanding!

We will be hosting a welcome dinner Friday evening. All are invited! Please RSVP on the website. More information can be found on the "schedule" tab of the website and the official wedding invitation. The reception will be cocktail attire. This event is adults-only. Thank you for understanding!

Answer

Garden Formal — Maxi dresses or jumpsuits suggested for the ladies and suits and ties for men. Colors and florals very welcome! The venue is outdoors so bring a shawl or jacket as it gets chilly after the sun sets. We recommend wearing comfortable heels suitable for grass lawns and dancing!

Please wait for Travis and I to finalize room assignments before booking. We will reach out to you when it is time to book! Please know that all rooms are reserved for us during the wedding weekend, so there is no rush!

In lieu of traditional gifts, we are graciously accepting contributions for our honeymoon in Japan! This is because we will be moving cross country after the wedding, and are trying to move with as little items and furniture as possible! Please see our “registry” page for the link. Thank you so much for your generosity!

Answer

Rooms at our wedding venue, The Simpson House Inn, have already been reserved. Please see our “travel” page for hotel recommendations, and plan to book early as hotels fill up quickly in June!

On-site parking is available for Simpson House Inn guests only. For other guests, street parking is limited in the area. We recommend using Uber or Lyft.

Answer

While we’re not providing transportation for guests, there are plenty of options! If you're staying outside walking distance from the venue, consider renting a car or using services such as Uber or Lyft. Please note certain recommended hotels under the "travel" tab are a block or less away from our venue! Santa Barbara is super easy to navigate, and we want you to be able to enjoy the day stress-free!

The main courses will include a red meat and chicken option, but a limited vegan/vegetarian option will be available upon request. Please let us know ASAP if you will be needing this option, as it will only be available in limited quantities. We have a photographer, so please enjoy the ceremony without distractions. Afterward, feel free to take all the photos and videos you’d like! Don’t forget to tag us with the hashtag “$hydetheknot” on Instagram!
