We met the way all great love stories begin: karaoke night. Stephanie showed up with her friends, Jacob with his. Steph went up on stage ready to sing one of her favorites, Dancing Queen. Whether it was the funky ABBA beat or Stephanie's incredible funky dance moves, Jacob was instantly smitten. He worked up the courage, and asked for her number. Unfortunately, Stephanie's shyness got the best of her, and she panicked... and told him she wasn't single (she was very much single). And so, the two went their separate ways. Time passed. Life happened. And then, because the universe clearly has a sense of humor, another karaoke night brought them together again. What they didn't realize at first was that their once separate karaoke friend groups had slowly merged into one. Unbeknownst to them, their worlds had been inching closer long before they did. That night, they talked, laughed, sang their hearts out, and discovered that the spark from that first "Dancing Queen" moment hadn't gone anywhere. Jacob, once again summoning up his courage, asked Stephanie out a second time. This time, she said yes.
