Our story is a quick one! It’s been a FULL two and a half years together. Davis and I met briefly a few times through mutual friends. He was new to Fairhope which, if you don’t know, makes him a unicorn; a very handsome, eligible unicorn. The interest was immediate, but the timing was unfortunate. A few months passed and “coincidentally” we spent Labor Day on the same boat. We were both excited but playing it cool. Me more than he. What I noticed immediately was the nerves felt different. Sure, I was excited, had some butterflies, but it wasn’t anxious. I wasn’t scared. Davis felt comfortable but not boring. He felt familiar. Everything about the day and our time was light and airy…natural, besides a few goofy attempts to flirt with me. Even the people we were with was kismet - now our best friends and Betty’s godfather. A week later he took me on our first date which lasted at least 8 hours. That was September 10, 2023. Since that day we have spent just a few nights apart. One day Davis relayed something he had told his mom, “I’ve spent 30 straight days with this girl and I haven’t gotten sick of her.” LOL Fast forward, just a little bit, and we found out Betty was on the way and it’s been one celebration after the other. A true whirlwind relationship and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Early on, a dear friend asked me about Davis and my response was that he’s solid. And I would describe him as that today. And our relationship; our family bond. It’s something unique. Something we both dreamed of but didn’t necessarily know if it was in our cards. Our paths were not direct but they lead as to each other, and to Betty, and we thank God every single day for this life that we are oh so lucky to have; the love and peace we get to experience. We cannot wait to share all of that joy with you on our special day! LET’S GEAUX! 💛💜
