This interstate trail crosses the St. Croix between Stillwater, MN and Houlton, WI. It can be used for walking or biking.
This is a pretty, small downtown area with a large lake. There are multiple walking trails here too, including the Mark Sather Trail (5.1 miles) along part of the lake.
This is a beautiful state park on the St. Croix River, about 20 minutes south of Camrose Hill (30 minutes south of Stillwater and 17 minutes from Woodbury).
As the name suggests, this park is co-located on both the MN and WI sides of the St. Croix River, about 45 minutes north of Camrose Hill. We have enjoyed the WI side for hiking (I think the MN side is more canoeing), but you can stop in the town of Taylor's Falls for lunch/dinner/ice cream. Note: you will need cash to pay for a park pass!
This is slightly north and west of St. Paul, so about 30 minute drive from Stillwater/20 minutes from Woodbury.

The Twins are playing a home game in Minneapolis this weekend (about 30 minutes from Stillwater, 15 minutes from Woodbury).
This is a fun indoor/outdoor food hall with many restaurants and bars to choose from.
This is a bit of a drive from the Stillwater area (55 minutes) but it is a beautiful arboretum with miles of walking trails in diverse flora and fauna. You will need to book your tickets online ahead of time for $15.
This is a fun small town to visit on the giant Lake Minnetonka. It is a longer drive, about 53 minutes from Stillwater.
