Most of our friends and family believe we met at the gym. But our story didn’t necessarily begin here… there was the tinder match while I was in Charleston interviewing for the job that would ultimately relocate me and the brief introduction (think there was even a handshake) to Mr. Bradley my first night on the town. Then of course, as fate would have it, I choose to be a member at Davis’ gym. We both had taken notice of each other (let’s be realistic here, he noticed me first). I would pretend he didn’t exist and Davis tried his best to impress. One September morning, he asked if I was using a machine and after seeing how truly handsome he was, I finally flashed a smile his way. Insert “the rest is history.” He reached out to a mutual friend to see if I was dating anyone at the time, ultimately resulting in a casual set up that evening at Biergarten, a local watering hole, to watch his beloved Clemson Tigers (forever my mortal enemy, GO Gamecocks). The conversation was easy and there was a particular feeling of comfort on both ends. Not wasting any time, our first real date happened that Saturday. Davis even showed up early (if you know Davis, you know this isn’t out of the ordinary). He sat in my grandmother’s rocking chair and we talked while I finished getting ready. We barely knew each other but a few hours, nevertheless, we both knew this was something special. Almost a year later, we decided to move in together with our 100lb sweet angel, Leo in a one-bedroom downtown apartment. We spent the next few years in the heart of our beautiful city, discovering all that it has to offer and learning that if we can make it with only one bathroom, we can conquer it all. The last year has been a whirlwind and has us excited and eager for our future together. We settled in to our dream starter home in Mount Pleasant, Davis put a ring on it, and we welcomed a new puppy Joey (sorry, Leo) into our lives. We are thrilled to make it official and celebrate with you in May!
